Ketua Umum PSSI, Erick Thohir berharap Estella Loupattij dan Noa Leatomu akan menjadi amunisi Timnas Putri untuk kompetisi Piala AFF 2024 di Laos.
Timnas sepak bola putri Indonesia memasuki babak baru menyusul pengambilan sumpah dan janji setia pewarganegaraan pesepak bola putri, Estella Loupattij dan Noa Leatomu.
“Naturalisasi Estella dan Noa menjadi babak baru bagi sepak bola putri Indonesia, yang memang dirancang kita bangun melalui Timnas Putri,” kata Erick Thohir dalam keterangan pada Sabtu.
Keduanya sah menjadi WNI setelah pengambilan sumpah dilaksanakan di Kedutaan Besar Indonesia di Kopenhagen, Denmark pada Jumat (8/11).
“Harapannya, mereka menjadi amunisi baru di Piala AFF Putri. Dengan kehadiran keduanya, kita punya tim (putri) dengan usia muda. Mereka bisa berkembang untuk dua sampai tiga tahun ke depan,” kata Erick Thohir.
Tidak lupa Erick mengapresiasi banyak pihak, mulai dari Presiden Prabowo Subianto, Komisi X dan XIII DPR, Dirjen AHU dan Dirjen Imigrasi, serta Dukcapil DKI Jakarta yang memungkinkan percepatan sumpah Estella (20 tahun) dan Noa (21) sehingga bisa bersamaan dengan keabsahan Kevin Diks yang juga menjadi WNI.
“Estella dan Noa diharapkan bisa menambah ketangguhan di lini belakang dan tengah Timnas Putri Indonesia. Apalagi keduanya punya pengalaman bermain mereka di liga Eropa sehingga bisa memberikan dampak signifikan bagi performa Timnas Putri Indonesia,” lanjutnya.
Saat ini, Timnas Putri sudah mempersiapkan diri menuju Piala AFF Putri di Laos pada 23 November sampai 1 Desember 2024.
Estella dan Noa dijadwalkan bergabung dan berangkat ke Laos pada tanggal 15 November untuk persiapkan mengikuti Piala AFF Putri.
