Indonesia banyak mengimpor jagung per September 2024 dengan nilai mencapai 158,60 ribu ton. Jumlah impor jagung itu naik 190,21% dibanding September 2023 yang seberat 54,65 ribu ton.
Secara nilai, impor jagung pada September 2024 sebesar US$ 38,47 juta, atau naik 167,97% dibanding September 2023 yang senilai US$ 14,35 juta.
Sepanjang tahun ini dari Januari-September 2024 nilai impornya mencapai US$ 247,94 miliar atau naik 13,73% dibanding periode yang sama tahun lalu US$ 218,01 miliar. Sedangkan secara volume dari 967,92 ribu ton atau naik 44,97% dari sebelumnya 667,69 ribu ton.
“Januari sampai September impor jagung itu 967,92 ribu ton dengan nilainya US$ 247,94 miliar,” kata Plt Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti saat konferensi pers di kantornya, Jakarta, Selasa (15/10/2024).
Total impor jagung Indonesia sepanjang tahun ini mayoritas berasal dari Argentina seberat 351,14 ribu ton. Lalu, dari Brazil seberat 256,83 ribu ton, Amerika Serikat 3,29 ribu ton, Pakistan 13,07 ribu ton, dan Thailand 315,46 ton.
“Ini paling banyak dari tiga negara asal impor jagung, yakni Argentina, Brazil, dan Pakistan,” ucap Amalia.
