Direktorat Reserse Kriminal Khusus (Ditreskrimsus) Polda Kalimantan Selatan(Kalsel) menggerebek lokasi pembuangan limbah medis secara ilegal yang berada di lingkungan pemukiman warga di Jalan Tatah Cina, Komplek Pesona Modern 2 Kecamatan Kertak Hanyar, Kabupaten Banjar.
“Jadi ini penimbunan limbah medis yang tidak pada tempatnya makanya dilakukan penegakan hukum,” kata Kapolda Kalsel Irjen Pol Winarto saat berada di lokasi, Senin.
Untuk sementara tiga orang diamankan petugas untuk dimintai keterangan.
Pengakuan mereka yang diamankan, limbah medis berasal dari rumah sakit di wilayah Kalimantan Selatan dan Kalimantan Tengah.
Aktivitas ilegal membuang limbah medis di lokasi itu telah berlangsung selama satu bulan lebih.
Terduga pelaku dari PT HGB diduga bekerja sama dengan pihak rumah sakit dalam pengelolaan limbah medis.
Berdasarkan kontrak kerja yang ditemukan petugas, seharusnya limbah medis itu dikirim ke Tangerang, Banten sesuai ketentuan dan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku dalam pengelolaan limbah B3 (Bahan Beracun dan Berbahaya).
“Jadi semua masih didalami penyidik termasuk apakah ada keterlibatan oknum rumah sakit dalam aktivitas ini,” jelas Kapolda didampingi Direktur Reskrimsus Polda Kalsel Kombes Pol M Gafur Aditya Siregar dan Kasubdit IV Tipidter AKBP Ricky Boy Sialagan.
Sementara Erwin selaku Kasi Pengolahan Sampah, Limbah dan B3 Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kalsel mengapresiasi langkah cepat Polda Kalsel dalam menindak pembuangan limbah medis yang sangat berbahaya itu.
Sampah medis ini termasuk limbah B3 yang tidak boleh sembarangan dibuang, apalagi sampai mencemari tanah dan air tentu berdampak pada lingkungan dan kesehatan masyarakat,” jelasnya.
Diketahui saat di lokasi, petugas menemukan tumpukan sampah medis yang ditimbun dengan tanah dengan kedalaman tidak lebih dari setengah meter.
