Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) terpilih Lalu Muhamad Iqbal atau LMI menemui Menteri Koordinator (Menko) Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto dalam agenda silaturahmi dan membahas sektor perikanan dan pariwisata.
Dalam siaran pers diterima wartawan di Mataram, Jumat (13/12), Menko Bidang Perekonomian Airlangga Hartarto memberikan ucapan selamat pada LMI atas keberhasilannya ditetapkan sebagai pemenang Pilkada Gubernur dan Wakil Gubernur NTB pada 27 November 2024.
“Pak Menko sampaikan ke saya dianggap unik. Sudah jadi dubes kok mau jadi gubernur. Tapi akhirnya berhasil,” ujarnya.
Mantan Juru Bicara Kementerian Luar Negeri ini melanjutkan, bersama Menko Airlangga membahas soal rencana jalan port to port Lembar-Kayangan. Jalan ini untuk meningkatkan konektivitas dan mobilitas barang maupun penumpang.
“Pak Menko memberikan dukungan,” ujarnya lagi.
Selain soal jalan, kata LMI, bersama Menko Airlangga juga membahas soal kemungkinan mendirikan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus (KEK) di bidang perikanan dan pariwisata. KEK ini diprakarsai oleh pemerintah daerah.
“Pak Menko jelaskan secara hukum ini bisa dilakukan, namun belum pernah ada pemda yang melakukannya,” katanya.
LMI bersyukur, dalam pertemuan ini Menko Airlangga memiliki komitmen kuat membantu semaksimal mungkin. Hal ini tentu akan menjadi kesempatan untuk pengembangan NTB ke depan.
“Saya menyampaikan antara daerah dan pusat perlu ada sinergi program dan Pak Menko sepakat soal itu,” katanya pula.
