Pelaksana Tugas (Plt.) Ketua Umum Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP) Muhamad Mardiono mengungkapkan bahwa hampir setiap hari menjalankan salat taubat karena memang setiap hari pasti akan ada kesalahan.
“Saya selalu melaksanakan sholat taubat. Jadi taubatan itu diajarkan oleh agama,” kata Mardiono di Jakarta, Jumat malam, saat ditanya terkait seruan “taubatan nasuhah” oleh Ketua Majelis Pertimbangan DPP PPP Muhammad Romahurmuziy.
Menurut dia, semua manusia pasti setiap hari menambah dosa tak terkecuali dirinya dengan para pengurus harian DPP PPP yang saat ini sedang menjabat.
Ia melanjutkan bahwa semua orang berhak menjalankan taubat begitu pula ia yang sedang dipercaya sebagai Plt Ketua Umum PPP.
“Setiap hari itu pasti kita akan memperbaharui dosa. Karena entah salah ucapan, salah tindakan, pasti kita membawa dosa. Oleh karena itu, Allah memberikan ruang untuk bertaubat,” tuturnya.
Sebelumnya, Ketua Majelis Pertimbangan DPP PPP Muhammad Romahurmuziy mengatakan bahwa seruan untuk “taubatan nasuhah” bukan ditujukan pada personal, tetapi kepada semua pengurus DPP PPP untuk meminta maaf secara kesatria karena tidak berhasil membawa parpol itu masuk ke Senayan.
“Ketika saya menyampaikan seruan untuk ‘taubatan nasuhah’ itu kan ditujukan kepada seluruh jajaran DPP. Kenapa? Karena memang baru kali ini dari 11 kali pemilu yang diikuti; PPP tidak masuk ke Senayan,” kata Romy sapaan Romahurmuziy.
Menurut dia, para pengurus DPP harus meminta maaf secara terbuka kepada kader dan simpatisan partai di seluruh Indonesia, karena telah gagal membawa partai berlambang Ka’bah masuk ke DPR RI.
Untuk itu, kata Romy, DPP juga harus bisa menyiapkan kader dan membuka diri untuk hadirnya calon pemimpin baru di tubuh PPP.
