Bank Indonesia mempertimbangkan penurunan suku bunga BI Rate lebih lanjut ke depan, setelah menurunkan suku bunga acuan tersebut sebesar 25 basis points pada September 2024 menjadi 6%.
Deputi Gubernur Bank Indonesia Juda Agung mengatakan, peluang penurunan itu kini masih dilihat BI mempertimbangkan suku bunga kebijakan di Amerika Serikat, Eropa, perkembangan kebijakan stimulus ekonomi di China, dan kondisi inflasi domestik.
“Yang tentu saja kami terus mencermati apakah ada ruang penurunan suku bunga lebih lanjut,” kata Juda Agung dalam acara peluncuran Kajian Stabilitas Keuangan No. 43 di Kantor Pusat BI, Jakarta, Rabu (2/10/2024).
Inflasi domestik saat ini memang tengah mereda setelah deflasi yang terjadi selama lima bulan beruntun sejak Mei-September 2024. Pada Mei 2024 deflasi terjadi sebesar 0,03% secara bulanan, lalu berlanjut pada Juni 2024 sebesar 0,08%, dan Juli 2024 sebesar 0,18%. Lalu, pada Agustus 2024 sebesar 0,03%, dan per September 2024 makin dalam menjadi 0,12%.
Juda Agung menekankan, selain kondisi inflasi domestik, sebetulnya tren berakhirnya ketidakpastian pasar keuangan memang ke depan akan semakin kuat, setelah berbagai indikator tekanan ekonomi, seperti inflasi yang tinggi di negara-negara maju seperti AS sudah mulai berakhir.
“Nah alhamdulillah saat ini ketidakpastian saat ini makin mereda, sejalan dengan terus melambatnya inflasi di berbagai negara. Di AS inflasi diperkirakan akan mendekati sasaran inflasi sebesar 2% di tengah meningkatnya angka pengangguran,” ucap Juda Agung.
Dengan semakin berkurangnya ketidakpastian global, dan kian derasnya aliran modal AS, Juda mengatakan, kini stabilitas sistem keuangan di Indonesia sudah semakin membaik, termasuk dari sisi pasar keuangan dan penguatan nilai tukar rupiah.
“Rupiah menguat yang kemudian buka ruang penurunan suku bunga. Di sektor perbankan juga ketahanan permodalan yang tinggi, likuiditas yang memadai, dan risiko kredit yang terkendali juga terus mendorong pertumbuhan kinerja intermediasi perbankan yang hingga Agustus kemarin di 11,4% yoy,” tuturnya.
Oleh sebab itu, Juda mengatakan, dengan berbagai faktor positif itu, perbankan di Indonesia juga akan semakin gencar menyalurkan kreditnya ke depan untuk mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi ke depan. Ia menargetkan, sasaran penyaluran kredit di kisaran 10-12% pada tahun ini akan tercapai.
“Kebijakan makroprudensial maka akan tetap longgar untuk mendukung kredit perbankan, ketersediaan likuiditas di perbankan tetap memadai, sehingga diharapkan bank dapat capai target kredit tahun ini 10-12%,” tegasnya.
